5. MY EXPERIENCES AND OPINIONS: Until I discovered the above techniques, my trips and vacations were totally miserable. I always got sick. I usually started to come down with something by the end of the day that we were traveling, especially any air travel. Since I started using the above techniques, I have never become sick. I also only book accommodations that have windows that open. Usually, if there are no fumes from auto exhaust or totally polluted air, the fresh air helps to offset the off-gassing of the items in the room. I also always travel with my own organic pillowcase and sheets. I have also found that if I rent a car I cannot have vinyl seats or cloth seats that have been coated with some chemical for stains. Both give off toxic fumes that effect me. I rent cars only with leather seats (Cadillac and Lincoln). And most important, if I fly, I always book an isle seat. That way if someone sits next to me reeking of perfume, hairspray, aftershave etc., I can keep my head turned towards the isle and get some relief. It took me years of hit and miss to discover all of these techniques.
